The clarified water storage tank is generally a cylindrical vessel made of steel, designed to collect the water coming from the clarifier. Its main function is to act as a storage and buffer volume, ensuring process continuity and stabilizing the outlet flow rates. For this reason, its dimensions are determined according to the capacity of the clarifier to which it is connected.
The structure consists of an upper cylindrical section and a lower conical bottom. The latter is equipped with a discharge valve that allows the periodic removal of accumulated deposits and facilitates tank cleaning and maintenance operations.
The clarified water transfer pumps draw the liquid from the cylindrical section, immediately above the conical part, ensuring efficient suction and proper feeding of the subsequent process stages.
